Vietnam War jams.

Some people grew up listening to, I dunno, Rod Stewart, or whatever classic rock their parents played.  I grew up listening to songs by Trinh Cong Son and Khanh Ly (also, Khanh Ly babysat me once.)  Like any child, I hated my parents’ music, plus war-era Vietnamese music can be pretty depressing a lot of times. Then I got older and got more sensible regarding these sorts of things.
